Altures de rosa
Casa de les Altures, Barcelona
February 6 to 8 of 2026
6 x 9 x 14 m
To inaugurate Barcelona World Capital of Architecture ’26, Penique, together with Landscape agency, proposes the installation of a pink inflatable structure in the courtyard of Casa de les Altures, currently the headquarters of the Horta-Guinardó District. A Neo-Mudéjar style house, built in 1890 by master builder Enric Figueras, commissioned by its owner, Companyia d’Aigües.
Together, the inflatable and the courtyard shape the work Altures del rosa, where the forms of the arches and columns across the three floors create a small vertical and stylized installation that highlights the slender and elegant forms of the courtyard’s architecture. A skylight allows daylight to enter, tracing the shapes and spreading the pink hue across the adjacent galleries. At night, a carefully designed lighting project enhances the color, reinforcing the sculptural nature of the piece and distinguishing it from the dimly lit surroundings.
